2007 - Present, Historic Building Architects, LLC, Trenton, NJ. Ms. Burris has charge of the Architectural Conservation Lab at Historic Building Architects and is involved in various phases of building documentation. Her duties include paint analysis, mortar analysis and replication, material research, maintenance of the firm’s extensive sand library, and building condition assessment. Current projects include Church of the Presidents, First Unitarian Society of Plainfield, Parsippany Presbyterian Church, The Peto House, Stockton Borough School, and The Trust House. Summer 2006, National Park Service, El Morro, National Monument, New Mexico. An an exhibition specialist, Ms. Burris surveyed and evaluated the condition of historic inscriptions at El Morro National Monument and made recommendations as to continued documentation and care. Summer 2006, Twickenham, England. As a student, Ms. Burris created a door schedule for Horace Walpole’s Strawberry Hill. Documented several doors in AutoCAD. Fall 2006, Weisbrod and Hess Brewery, Philadelphia, PA. As a student, Ms. Burris co-produced a building report on the Weisbrod & Hess bottling plant currently owned by Yard’s Brewery. |
